Start-up of the first Single Step Core machine
After an intensive development phase, the first Single Step Core machine became operational.

Collaboration with Ikea started
Axxor started collaborating with IKEA on lightweight furniture solutions.

The second Single Step Core machine was installed
Seven years after the first machine, the second Single Step Core machine was installed.

The third and fourth Single Step Core machine got installed
Continued demand growth led to the commissioning of two new Single Step Core machines in 2006.

Axxor opened its production facility in Poland
The opening of our production facility in Poland marked an important step in our European expansion.

EMPHA, founded in Amsterdam in 2010, represents European manufacturers of paper honeycomb core and board products, promoting industry collaboration, standards, and sustainability.

Lightweight solutions for the automotive industry
Collaboration with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to develop lightweight paper honeycomb solutions for automotive applications.

Expansion into the United States
Axxor added a new manufacturing facility in the United States, strengthening local supply and production capacity.

25 years of Axxor
Axxor marked its 25 year anniversary, reflecting on a quarter century of paper honeycomb expertise and continuous innovation.

Next generation SSC technology
Development of the next generation Single Step Core machines, focused on higher efficiency, precision, and scalability.

Move to a larger and more sustainable facility
Axxor Netherlands relocated to a larger, more sustainable facility and joined the Smart Energy Hub pilot to address grid congestion through collaboration.

Leadership transition
Wieger Wiegersma stepped down as CEO and appointed Robert Minnesma as the new CEO, while remaining owner of Axxor.
